Shadowbox scrapes youtube for the number of people watching a video at the same time as you and renders them as animated overlayed silhouettes in the browser.

It was part of a larger project I worked on in the Tangible Media group at MIT's Media Lab called TangibleWeb. TangibleWeb seeks to communicate physical themes through online media.
